The Missouri University of Science and Technology presents Faculty Excellence Awards yearly to outstanding regular faculty members whose teaching, research and service contributions are exemplary and who strike an effective and appropriate balance among the various aspects of faculty work. These awards, in the amount of $2500.00, are funded from private donations.

Nominations are sought from all academic departments of the campus. Seven copies of the package should accompany the form. The nominations are transmitted to the appropriate Academic Dean. They review the nominations and forward their prioritized list to the Chancellor's Office in October. The nominations are reviewed by a committee comprised of distinguished professors chaired by the Provost. The final selection is made by the Chancellor.

Academic administrators (chairs, deans, etc..) and faculty holding the Curators' Professorship, the Distinguished Professorship, an endowed chair, or an endowed professorship are not eligible for these awards.
